Hello, and welcome to the 2019 season at Charlottetown Tennis Club (CTC)!!

For those new to our club or considering to join, I'd like to take this opportunity to welcome you to our Tennis FAMILY! Whether you are at the recreational level, seasoned competitive player, or new to the sport, CTC offers a variety of programs and events to make your season with us a memorable one!

This will be my 15th season with the club as a coach and 10th season as Head Tennis Professional (Club Pro), making me one of the longest serving coaches in the Scarborough Area. In 2018, I was honoured to receive the  “Coach of the Year” award from the Scarborough Tennis Federation for the 2nd year in a row. I also was elected to the Scarborough Tennis Federation Board of Directors as Vice President, Junior Development. I am excited to take on this role and look forward to contributing to our Tennis community on a regional level.

Even though I spent the latter part of the 2018 season out through injury, some changes we made to our programming structure early in the season resulted in a significant increase in participation over 2017. Thank you to all 40 members who attended our Adult and Junior Group Lessons!!

This season, in addition to some new programs such as Video Analysis and pre-payment options through E-transfer, we will be hosting several STF regional level and OTA Provincial level Tournaments. Besides the amazing opportunity it presents for kids at our club to view and play against competitors from all over the province, they provide a source of revenue allowing CTC to expand it's programs and outreach in the community, as well as pay for large maintenance projects like court resurfacing, which we are due for in the next 2 years and can cost north of $10,000.

For more information on anything related to club programming, please feel free to contact me and I will be happy to assist. I look forward to seeing you on the courts this season!
